Incora in Forbes as Nationwide Voice for Women's Health

A Greenville founded life science startup has become a nationwide voice on women's health trends.

Lindsey Calcutt, Ph.D., co-founder and CEO of the startup credited with inventing the world's first health-tracking earrings designed for women by women, was quoted as a leading innovator in women's health in a recent Forbes article.

Calcutt discussed the importance of women wearing health technology tailored to their specific needs in the article, which highlighted potential progress in women's health for 2025.

"Tech that isn't made specifically for women and is designed to default for men can provide poor or even dangerous recommendations for women," Calcutt told Forbes. She explained that general fitness tracking devices can be "wildly inaccurate" because they don't account for factors such as changes in a woman's resting heartbeat during her menstrual cycle.

Incora Health has been recognized as a standout among Greenville's life and health science startups. Founded in 2022 by Calcutt and Theresa Gevaert, the company designs health-tracking earrings for women that are both stylish and functional. Since its founding, Incora has garnered international attention for its innovation and its role as a Greenville startup standout. Last year, the company featured prominently in an article from The Economist about Greenville's strength as a startup hub.
