Halbrook Invites Bishop Kyle Blackerby to Give House Opening Prayer

SPRINGFIELD, IL… State Representative Brad Halbrook (R-Shelbyville) invited Bishop Kyle Blackerby, the senior pastor at Catch the Fire Church in Cowden, to deliver the opening prayer to the House Floor before Session.
"I was pleased to invite Pastor Kyle Blackerby to Springfield to deliver the opening prayer before the legislature began our work," said Rep. Halbrook. "Bishop Blackerby gave an uplifting message, and I am glad he was able to join me in Springfield."
Bishop Blackerby has been the lead pastor at Catch the Fire Church since April 2011. Bishop Blackerby is the sixth guest pastor Rep. Halbrook has invited to the Capitol to give the opening prayer during the 2025 legislative session.
