This year, Microsoft is celebrating 50 years of innovation, impact, and milestones. At Microsoft's AI for Good Lab, we couldn't think of a better way to mark the occasion than by looking ahead-exploring how AI can help create a better future for the next 50 years. That's why we're thrilled to announce a special initiative: an open call for proposals from Washington-based organizations to use AI to tackle pressing issues that impact our home state.
As someone who's worked at Microsoft and called Washington home for over a decade, I've had the privilege of collaborating with extraordinary organizations making a difference across our state. At the AI for Good Lab, we've partnered with groups advancing medical research, preserving biodiversity, preparing vulnerable communities for the future, and promoting local heritage and culture. I'm eager to see even more innovative ways AI can be used for good in the place I'm proud to call home.
