Jessica Hall-Wirth, a Slippery Rock University associate professor of special education, received the "Developing Future Special Educator Grant" from the Pennsylvania Training and Technical Assistance Network.

The grant of nearly $20,000 will further enhance SRU's ability to create or expand experiential learning opportunities for secondary and postsecondary students working with individuals with disabilities.

The PaTTAN is a project from the state's Bureau of Special Education that works collaboratively with educators, schools, agencies and other stakeholders across Pennsylvania to ensure students have access to quality and meaningful education supports, services and opportunities.
