NEXT WEEK: Cassidy to Host Event on Empowering Students, Strengthening Access to Charter Schools

WASHINGTON - On Thursday, May 15, U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA), chair of the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee, will host "Chartering Excellence: A Policy Briefing on Charter School Innovation," an event on how to strengthen access to charter schools, so students can receive the best education that meets their individual needs. This event is supported by the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools, which has long championed Cassidy's efforts to increase educational options for families.

The event will feature a panel of charter school leaders from across the country, who will speak to the importance of charter schools in empowering students to succeed.
