Swire Coca-Cola, USA - the bottler for Coca-Cola and other beverage brands across a 13-state region of the American West - has opened a new distribution facility in Mesa. The new facility will help meet rising demand in the fast-growing Phoenix metro area.
Andrea Kendell, president and CEO of Swire Coca-Cola, USA, was joined by Mesa Vice Mayor Scott Somers for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially open the new 241,000-square-foot facility, which employs about 100 people.
"We are pleased that this new distribution facility in Mesa will help us serve customers and consumers on the fast-growing east side of Phoenix," Kendell said. "Expanding our footprint in the Phoenix metro area to a third location - alongside our facilities in Glendale and Tempe - reflects the vibrancy and opportunity in this community. I would like to thank the City of Mesa for its support, as well as the Swire Coca-Cola team that helped bring this facility online."
The Mesa distribution facility will help meet growing demand for beverages produced and distributed by Swire Coca-Cola, USA, including Coca-Cola, Sprite, Fanta, POWERADE, smartwater, Gold Peak Tea, Monster Energy, Core Power and more.
"Swire Coca-Cola's decision to locate in Mesa says a lot about where our city is headed," said Mayor Mark Freeman. "This is a company people know and trust-Coca-Cola is part of everyday life, from family dinners to community events-and we're proud they've chosen to invest here. I appreciate the hard work of our economic development team and the many individuals who worked behind the scenes to make sure this project came together."
"Southeast Mesa continues to see significant growth, and this facility is a great fit for that momentum," Vice Mayor Scott Somers said. "With access to major transportation corridors and a strong regional customer base, this project supports the continued development of this area as an important employment corridor."
Headquartered in Utah, Swire Coca-Cola, USA, manufactures, distributes and sells Coca-Cola and other beverage brands in 13 states across the American West.
