America's 250th anniversary takes place July 4 and University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh students, staff, faculty and the public are invited to events throughout the year that reflect on the milestone anniversary.

In February, there are three events slated on campus: History Wars: Teaching Truths about America's Past in a Time of Political Polarization (Feb. 18); Religious Faith and the Founders of the USA (Feb. 25); and Searching for Cuff Roberts, a Black Continental Army soldier in the American Revolution (Feb. 26).
In April, also on campus, there will be Panel: The US Army, Russia, and Schools circa 1776 (April 1); and Screening of PBS' Voices & Visions of 1776 (April 7).
Over summer, two off-campus events are planned for June: Rum, Whiskey and Revolution: History of Spirits in America (June 10) ; and Screening of PBS' Spirit of Civic Engagement (June 17).
For fall, the current lineup includes The Men Who Lost America (Sept. 23); Trans-Atlantic Histories of the American Revolution (Sept. 24); and UWO Choirs Sing Democracy 250 (October) in a date and location to be determined.
