City of Boulder closures for Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday, Jan. 19

All City of Boulder administrative facilities and Age Well Centers will be closed on Monday, Jan. 19, for the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday. The following facilities and services will be open:

  • All recreation centers and the Boulder Reservoirwill be open during their normal operating hours.
  • Flatirons Golf Coursewill be open from sunrise to sunset for tee times depending on weather conditions.
  • Open Space and Mountain Parks trails and trailheads will be open. Visit OSMPTrails.orgto plan your visit to city open space.

On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, Jan. 19, parking is free on city streets and in all city-owned lots and downtown garages. For more City of Boulder parking information, please visit the city's parking guide.

The city's Youth Opportunities Advisory Board(YOAB) is seeking youth volunteers to participate in the 2026 MLK Jr. Youth Day of Service on Monday, Jan. 19, 2026. Applications are due today, Wednesday, Jan. 14. More information is available on the city's website.
