BOIL WATER NOTICE - Shady Glynn

OCALA, Fla. (June 11, 2026) - The City of Ocala Water Resources Department is issuing a boil water notice for customers located in the Shady Glynn Subdivision, including SE 24th Court and SE 38th Street to the cul-de-sac, and SE 39th Street from SE 24th Court to the cul-de-sac, due to damage to a water main by a contractor. This may result in contamination of the drinking water supply.

The City of Ocala Water Resources Department advises customers in the affected area to boil all water used for brushing teeth, cooking, drinking, making ice, washing dishes, or food preparation until further notice. Boil water vigorously for one minute and let it cool before use or use bottled water. Boiling water kills bacteria and other organisms that may be present in the water.

This boil water notice will remain in effect until a bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink. Customers will be notified when water conditions have returned to drinking water standards.

For more information, please contact the City of Ocala Water Resources Department at 352-351-6772. General guidelines on ways to lessen the risk of infection by microbes are available from the Environmental Protection Agency's Safe Drinking Water Hotline at 1-800-426-4791.
