Report launch accompanies interactive online energy burden map for public use

St. Louis, Mo- A group of clean energy and consumer advocates will hold a press conference to unveil a new report that details the financial, health, geographic, and educational disparities and recommendations related to energy burden in St. Louis. Energy burdenis defined as the percentage of household income that is spent on energy-related utility bills.

The report is informed by a new interactive online tool, the Missouri Energy Burden Explorer, which will enable anyone to view energy burden statistics by census tract for Ameren Missouri and Spire customers.

When: Thursday, January 30, 2025, starting at 9:00am.

Why: Share findings and recommendations on energy burden issues in the St. Louis area.

Visuals: The press conference will take place in a conference room with a television, where visuals from the report, including charts and tables, will be displayed during the press conference.
