PT Timah Holds Another Mass Circumcision, Kundur Residents Welcome the Bakti Month Program

KUNDUR -- Continuing the series of activities for its 49th Anniversary celebration, PT Timah Tbk held another mass circumcision as part of its Bakti Month program in its Kundur Operational Area.

The event took place on Saturday (July 12, 2025) at Graha Timah, Kundur Operational Office, Karimun Regency, Riau Islands Province, and was attended by 54 children from various villages.

Under the anniversary theme "Untuk Merah Putih" (For the Red and White), PT Timah has been organizing a series of social programs across its operational areas.

This mass circumcision program was met with great enthusiasm from the community. Camat of West Kundur, Yusufian, expressed appreciation for PT Timah's ongoing commitment to social initiatives.

"Alhamdulillah, today PT Timah once again shows its concern through this mass circumcision program. This is a tremendous help for our community, especially in easing financial burdens," he said.

He also expressed hope that such programs would continue through collaboration with local governments, noting PT Timah's consistency in carrying out social and environmental activities.

"These kinds of programs are very beneficial. Hopefully, the collaboration between PT Timah and sub-district or village governments can continue to grow to sustain social initiatives and environmental conservation," Yusufian added.

One of the beneficiaries, Adha from Gemuruh Village, expressed his gratitude for the program, sharing how much it helped his family.

"We are very grateful for this activity. Thank you to PT Timah for the support. If we had done this independently, the cost would have been quite significant. Thanks to this mass circumcision, we can now allocate those funds for school expenses instead," he said.

He also hoped the program would continue in the future to benefit more families.

"May PT Timah continue to thrive and always contribute to the community," he said.

The Bakti Month is an annual initiative by PT Timah held in conjunction with the company's anniversary. A few days prior, PT Timah also held a similar mass circumcision event in Rangsang, Riau Province.
