FREE Community Emergency Preparedness Workshop
Los Bomberos de LA County, an affiliate of LA County Fire Department, will be presenting a Personal Emergency Preparedness Workshop to the community. The training is designed to help residents prepare for everyday emergencies and unexpected events by providing practical preparedness information and resources. Attendees will also receive a complimentary personal emergency preparedness kit.
Topics that are taught are:
- Disaster vs. Emergency
- Evacuation plans
- Basic First Aid
- Hands Only CPR.
- Situational awareness
- Assembling your emergency preparedness supplies
- Preparing you emergency documents
- How to turn your utilities off
- Top cause of fires and how to evacuate
- Close Before You Dose
- Fire Extinguisher training
The first presentation will occur this Wednesday, June 17th at 5 pm at Palomares Community Center, prior to the Area Commander Meeting.
