SET arrest in Macomb County drug operation

Macomb Township, MI - On 10/24/2024 the Sheriff's Enforcement Team (SET) executed a narcotics search warrant at the 46300 block of Worlington Drive in Macomb Township. The suspect, Justin Bedford, a 21-year-old male from Macomb Township, was taken into custody for his alleged involvement of the distribution of large amounts of cocaine and Xanax in Macomb County.

A SET investigation led to the search warrants.

The following property was seized:

  • 82 Alprazolam pills (Xanax)
  • 1 gram of cocaine
  • 3 strips of Suboxone
  • $1,206.00 in cash
  • AR-style rifle
  • 9mm Glock handgun
  • .380 S&W Bodyguard handgun

Bedford was taken into custody without incident and was lodged at the Macomb County Jail.

He was arraigned today in 41B District Court in Clinton Township on charges of

  • One (1) Count - Controlled Substance - Delivery/manufacture (Schedule 4) - 4-year felony
  • One (1) Count - Controlled Substances - Possession (Cocaine, Heroin, or another Narcotic) - a 4-year felony
  • One (1) Count - Weapons Felony Firearm - a 2-year felony
  • One (1) Count - Tampering with Evidence - a 4-year felony

Bedford was issued $10,000 personal bond, with conditions including random drug testing and Community Corrections inpatient programming.
