TRAFFIC ALERT - New Castle County - I-95/Rt 896 Interchange Upcoming Closures

The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces to motorists there will be overnight multi-lane closures on I-95 southbound (Monday - Thursday) for bridge painting, barrier and sign structure work, overnight lane closures on Rt 896 southbound (Tuesday and Thursday) for a traffic pattern switch, daytime lane closures on Rt 72 northbound and southbound for bridge work (Monday through Thursday), and overnight lane closures on northbound and southbound Rt 72 (Monday - ; Tuesday) for preliminary bridge deck work.

I-95 AND RAMP IMPACTS
· Monday, October 20th through Thursday, October 23rd: Multi-Lane Closure, Southbound I-95 from the Rt 896 Interchange to the Toll Plaza:

§ Monday, October 20th: 8PM - 7AM

§ Tuesday, October 21st: 7PM - 6AM

§ Wednesday, October 22nd: 8PM -- 7AM

§ Thursday, October 23rd: 9PM - 7AM

· Monday, October 20th through Thursday, October 23rd: Shoulder Closure, Southbound I-95 off ramp to Southbound Rt 896 (7AM - 5PM)

Rt 896 IMPACTS
· Tuesday, October 21st: Overnight Lane Closure, Southbound Rt 896, Welsh Tract Road to the I-95 Interchange (10PM - 6AM)

· Thursday, October 23rd: Overnight Lane Closure, Southbound Rt 896 from Welsh Tract Road to the I-95 Interchange, (11PM - 6AM)

Rt 72 IMPACTS

· Monday, October 20th through Friday, October 24th: Daytime Lane Closure, Northbound and Southbound Rt 72 between Bellevue Road and Brookhill Dr. (9AM - 3PM)

· Monday, October 20th and Tuesday, October 21st: Overnight Lane Closure, Northbound and Southbound Rt 72 between Bellevue Road and Brookhill Dr. (7PM - 6AM)
