January 09, 2025

Visiting Capitol Campus during Legislative Session

During the 2025 legislative session, which starts Jan. 13 and ends April 27, we want everyone's time at the Capitol Campus to be enriching, safe, and enjoyable.

During legislative session, thousands of people from around the state will come to campus to express their views; and elected representatives will gather to make decisions that shape the future. Here's a summary of information visitors may find useful.

Parking

We provide parking information for visitors on the Directions & Parking page at Capitol.wa.gov. This page includes information about:

  • DES' shuttle service for state employees and visitors.
  • Locations and costs at EV charging stations.
  • Visitor parking.

Staying informed

The Capitol Campus event calendar contains a full list of permitted events and activities. Some may impact parking and traffic.

To learn about tours and events, upcoming closures, projects and initiatives, or behind-the-scenes activities shaping the campus, sign up for updates from Capitol.wa.gov.

Staying safe

Members of the public can sign up for safety notifications from WA Agency Alerts, the campus' emergency warning system.

  • To sign up for ongoing notifications, text CAMPUSALERT to 888-777.
