MoDOT TRAFFIC ALERT: New Weight Restriction Placed on Missouri Route 123 over J…

Polk County - Signs indicating a weight limit of 25 tons for single-unit vehicles have been installed for a bridge on Missouri Route 123 over Jump-Off Creek in Polk County north of Fair Play, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

The new load posting came about during the department's regular bridge inspection process to analyze load limitations, which have been updated per Federal Highway Administration guidance.

The new weight limit will be in place until the bridge is replaced. At this time, no timeframe has been set for replacing the bridge.

Previously, there was no posted load limit on this bridge.
