York County Republican Lawmakers Issue Statement on North Codorus Township Shooting

HARRISBURG- State Republican lawmakers representing York County issued the following statement following the incident that took place in North Codorus Township, York County, yesterday that left three police officers dead and two injured. The lawmakers consist of Sens. Kristin Phillips-Hill (R-28) and Dawn Keefer (R-31); and Reps. Seth Grove (R-Dover), Kate Klunk (R-Hanover), Mike Jones (R-York Township), Joe D'Orsie (R-Manchester), Wendy Fink (R-Red Lion) and Marc Anderson (R-Dillsburg).

"We are heartbroken and deeply saddened by the devastating loss of Det. Sgt. Cody Becker, Det. Isaiah Emenheiser and Det. Mark Baker, who were killed in the line of duty, and we extend our heartfelt prayers to the two officers who were injured while courageously serving our community.

"These officers made the ultimate sacrifice while carrying out their duty - a duty rooted in protecting and upholding the safety of others. We owe them, and every member of law enforcement who risks their life each day, a debt that can never truly be repaid.

"To the families, friends and colleagues of those we lost: we grieve with you, and we stand with you. No words can ease the pain you are feeling, but please know that the entire community mourns with you, honors their service, and remembers their heroism.

"As we process this tragedy, we ask our community to keep the fallen officers and the injured in their thoughts and prayers. Let us come together in unity, in gratitude for their service, and in support of the law enforcement community that continues to protect us with unwavering courage.

"We will never forget their sacrifice."
