Last Chance to Help SBUH Blood Donor Center Reach Its Goal

The Stony Brook University Hospital Blood Donor Center is striving to reach its goal of 250 donors for the month of January and needs your help to get there.

While recent weather events have impacted blood collection and distribution, the SBU community is being asked to roll up their sleeves and make an impact.

Every single donation helps save lives and brings the center one step closer to hitting its goal.

Donors are asked to schedule an appointment to donate blood or platelets. Go online and schedule an appointment or call (631) 444-DONATE (3662). There are convenient hours Monday through Saturday. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are strongly encouraged.

This blood drive is only being recognized by the Stony Brook University Hospital Blood Donor Center, therefore, all donations must be made in the Donor Room at the Blood Donor Center, located in the lobby, level 5, of the hospital.

As a way of saying thank you, whole blood donors will receive a backpack and platelet donors will receive a folding camping chair (while supplies last).
