It's that time of year again! Daylight Savings Time ends on Sunday, November 2, 2025, and the Highland Village Fire Department wants to remind you of the simple, but life-saving, habit of changing and testing the batteries in your smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors when setting your clocks back. It is best to use interconnected smoke alarms, when one sounds, they all sound. If you have hard wired smoke alarms with battery backup, make sure to change these batteries as well. Replace all smoke alarms when they are over 10 years old.
