Construction Prompts East Morris Boulevard Closure in Hamblen County

Motorists traveling on State Route 34 (U.S. 11E) and East Morris Boulevard in Hamblen County should be aware of upcoming road construction activities that will have a temporary impact on traffic.

Beginning at 7 a.m. on Monday, October 5, the intersection of State Route 34 (U.S. 11E) and East Morris Boulevard will be closed to traffic. This closure will allow crews to work on grading, realignment, utility relocation, and paving for the East Morris Boulevard tie-in.

Signage will be in place to direct motorists to Shelby Williams Road to bypass the work zone. This traffic pattern is expected to be in place until Friday, October 23.
