We're excited to welcome Jim Rooney to SKB/Nanuk as our new Director of Commercial Sales - Eastern U.S.
Jim brings decades of experience in business development, marketing, and sales management, along with deep roots in the protective packaging industry. Earlier in his career, he spent significant time with Spalding Sports Worldwide, and for more than 20 years worked with Hardigg Industries and Pelican Products, Inc. in a variety of sales management roles.
Over the years, Jim has built strong relationships across the packaging industry while working with dealers, distributors, and OEM customers throughout the U.S. That combination of industry knowledge, customer experience, and long-standing relationships makes him a strong addition to the SKB/Nanuk team.
"Jim's experience and understanding of the market make him a great fit for where we're headed. We're excited to have him on board and look forward to the relationships and opportunities he'll help us build across the Eastern U.S.," said Tracy Richardson, Sr. VP of Commercial Sales.
In his new role, Jim will focus on developing new applications alongside our channel partners, with an emphasis on technical packaging opportunities across the region. His goals include helping grow sales, expanding awareness of the SKB and Nanuk brands, and creating opportunities that benefit our company, our partners, and the customers who rely on our products.
"I'm excited about the opportunity to work with SKB/Nanuk and our channel partners to develop new applications and grow the business across the region," Jim said. "There's a lot of opportunity ahead, and I'm looking forward to building strong partnerships that create value for everyone involved."
When he's not working, Jim enjoys spending time with his wife, three grown children and their significant others, playing golf, getting outdoors, following Boston sports, and spending as much time as possible on Cape Cod.
We're glad to have Jim on the team and look forward to what's ahead.
