Leading With Purpose: Myra Doria’s McDonald’s Journey

Rising through the ranks at McDonald's Philippines, Myra became known for her relentless work ethic, authentic leadership, and commitment to mentoring others and building strong teams. Her journey later took her to Guam and eventually the U.S., where she embraced the challenge of starting anew in a different corporate and cultural landscape within the food industry.

"In the Philippines, I was 'Ma'am Myra.' In the States, it was just 'Myra do this, do that,'" she says. "At first it was tough. But I learned to create my own seat at the table and bring my own voice, accent and all." That willingness to embrace change became a hallmark of her career development and leadership style. Whether you're a crew member or an Executive Vice President, Myra believes there is a growth strategy for everyone at McDonald's. Each new leadership role: Business Consultant, Field Vice President, Zone President, and now National Field President, came with both challenges and opportunities to grow and lead with confidence.

As the current National Field President of McDonald's USA, Myra now oversees nearly 14,000 McDonald's restaurants and more than 1,800 franchisees. She spends much of her time partnering with McDonald's franchisees, field consultants, and restaurant managers to ensure operations run smoothly, employees feel supported, and that customer experience is a top priority. She also champions key leadership initiatives that strengthen culture, enhance employee development, and drive consistent operational excellence. For Myra, her work is about staying close to the people who make McDonald's run smoothly every day. "What I enjoy most is being in the restaurants, listening to our crews and our customers," she said. "That's where you really understand what matters."
