STATEMENT: Rep. Dave Min On ICE in Orange County

"Our office is closely tracking the reports of ICE today in Orange County, including in Irvine and Costa Mesa. I have personally been in contact with local city officials, police, and other leaders in those cities. At this point, we have been told that ICE raids in Irvine and Costa Mesa are limited to a small number of actions targeted at individuals at their places of residence, and not the types of indiscriminate raids we have seen in Los Angeles and elsewhere.

I am proud to represent a place as diverse and vibrant as Orange County. I stand with my hardworking neighbors and friends who came to this country and contribute so much to our community. While little is known at this time concerning the specifics of enforcement activity, their presence is concerning given the Trump Administration's complete lawlessness and disregard for due process. I will continue to monitor this situation."
