Building a Brighter Alisal: Recent Progress and Upcoming Projects

The Alisal Vibrancy Plan is a shared community vision to make Alisal a prosperous, safe, and welcoming neighborhood. Built on years of partnership between the City of Salinas and local residents, the plan comes to life through grant funding, teamwork, and careful tracking.

Here is the latest update on our neighborhood improvements:

Alisal Greening, Beautification & Safety Project

• Beautifying the Corridor: Continued enhancement efforts along the East Alisal commercial corridor.

• Artistic Trash Corrals: Installed community trash corrals featuring local artwork and photography to reduce litter and improve public spaces.

• Cultural Street Banners: Launched a photography banner program featuring over 20 street banners that highlight Alisal's history and residents.

• Building Community Pride: Coordinated neighborhood improvements to bring residents closer together and strengthen local pride.

Upcoming Highlights

• Closter Park Mural: Local artist group Artists Ink will paint a mural as part of the park's complete renovation later this year.

• Roundabout Monument: A new monument will be installed at the intersection of Skyway Blvd and Alisal St. to enhance the neighborhood entry.
