(Oct. 13, 2025) Sacramento, CA - The California Chamber of Commerce today issued the following statement on the Governor's veto of Senate Bill 7:
"We are grateful the Governor heard the concerns of a broad, diverse coalition that opposed SB 7 for its sweeping approach to regulating the use of automated decision systems in employment.
"It's now time to move forward and business leaders stand ready to work on a thoughtful, targeted approach to technology governance that will keep California a global leader in innovation."
