The deadline to apply for a grant from Women & Philanthropy at The University of Toledo is Saturday, Feb. 15.

All UToledo faculty, staff and students are eligible to apply for funding. More information and application forms are available on the Women & Philanthropy website.

Up to $25,000 in funding is available for the 2025 grant cycle. Grants are available for a variety of purposes, including buildings, campus beautification projects, supporting existing programs, developing new programs and more.

Women & Philanthropy was established in 2005 and awarded its inaugural grant in 2008. Since then, the group has funded 25 projects, awarding more than $700,000.

Previously funded projects include commissioning a glass sculpture for Carlson Library by the late artist Thomas McGlaughlin; a cosmetic science formulation and testing laboratory; a germ-free biomedical research facility; and a new, 21-foot research vessel for the UToledo Lake Erie Center. The Women & Philanthropy website has a complete list of awards.

The Women & Philanthropy Grants Committee will carefully review funding submissions, with the final recipient selected through a vote by the organization's general membership. The winner or winners are expected to be announced in May.
