Kids from 5-14 years old will have the opportunity to play, learn and get moving with the College of Health Sciences' annual Summer Youth Sports Program.
There are four two-week sessions: June 1-12 (Session 1), June 15-26 (Session 2), July 6-17 (Session 3), and July 20-July 31 (Session 4). Morning lessons will be from 8 a.m-12:30 p.m., and afternoon lessons from 12:30-5 p.m.
Over the two-week sessions, all groups will have the opportunity to experience various field and gym sports, rock climbing, outdoor adventure activities, racket sports, recreational games and rhythmic activities. There is also a mountain biking session that requires a separate enrollment. All sports and activities are meant to help build coordination, skill development, teamwork and overall athleticism, and provide a fun, encouraging environment to play with other kids.
Registration will open at 8:00 a.m. on Jan. 22, and anyone who is interested in participating can visit the website to register and learn more (a FAQ page is also available). Contact Kevin Blume, the program coordinator, at [email protected] for questions or concerns.
