AUC Chairperson held consultations with AU Representatives

On the margins of the 4th High-Level AU-UN Meeting in Libreville, Gabon, this afternoon, the Chairperson of the African Union (AU) Commission, H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, held consultations with AUs H.E. Mohamed Ibn Chambas (High Representative for Silencing the Guns); H.E. @Shingiro (Special Envoy for Gabon & Equatorial Guinea),; & H.E. @AdviserXD (Special Envoy for the Prevention of Genocide and Other Mass Atrocities).

Their strategic consultations focused on advancing the African Union's peace, security & governance agenda, including conflict prevention, mediation & stabilisation efforts, as well as the promotion of human rights, civilian protection & the prevention of genocide, in line with the respective mandates of the three Envoys.
