State Police arrest two following Moreau traffic stop

On November 9, 2024, State Police of Wilton arrested Shemariah S. Carlisle, 47, of Argyle, NY, for two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the third degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence, and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh degree.

Christopher M. Foster, 53, of Argyle, NY, was also arrested for two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the third degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence, two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh degree, and a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation.

On November 9, 2024, at about 10:54 p.m., Troopers stopped a vehicle on Fort Edward Road in Moreau, NY, for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. The driver was identified as Foster, and the passenger as Carlisle. The investigation located multiple glass smoking devices containing drug residue within the vehicle. In addition, a bag was located on the ground just outside the vehicle containing felony-weight narcotics allegedly packaged in a manner for sale. The investigation discovered the bag had been allegedly discarded from the vehicle during the stop.

Both were arrested and transported to SP Wilton for processing. Both were arraigned at the Moreau Town Court. Carlisle was released on her own recognizance, and Foster was remanded to the Saratoga County Correctional Facility without bail.
