Mayor's Message - June 2025
Dear Residents,
Summer has officially arrived, and with it comes sunshine, celebrations, and all the simple joys of the season! From graduation caps flying high to pool days and popsicles, there's a lot to enjoy and even more to look forward to.
First and foremost, on behalf of the City of Aliso Viejo, I would like to extend our warmest congratulations to all our recent graduates, the Class of 2025! Your hard work and determination are inspiring, and we can't wait to watch you soar in your next chapter. Whether you're continuing your education, entering the workforce, or exploring new opportunities, the City of Aliso Viejo wishes you every success on your journey ahead, and we're honored to celebrate this moment with you.
As you turn the page to new beginnings, now is the perfect time to embrace growth, fun, and connection. The City offers a wide range of recreation classes and activities for all ages, from science and cooking to art workshops and fitness classes. We're confident that you'll find something everyone in your family can enjoy. Head on over to avcity.orgto browse our camp offerings and register to guarantee an unforgettable summer.
Of course, summer fun is also about exploring local favorites and discovering new ones along the way! This month, we're excited to shine a spotlight on a part of our community that brings creativity and charm to Aliso Viejo. Please join us in congratulating MINISO as our May Business of the Month! This fun and affordable lifestyle boutique brings a unique shopping experience to our residents and visitors alike. Learn more about their storyhere, and don't forget to swing by next time you're at The Commons!
It's also the perfect time to brush up on a few simple tips to keep everyone safe. With the warm weather inviting us outdoors, it's important to prioritize water safety, particularly for children. The Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) has provided us with an excellent resource to help keep your loved ones safe near pools and open water. I encourage all families to review the "ABCs of Water Safety" flyer, which can be accessed here. A few moments of prevention can protect a lifetime of memories.
Whether you're celebrating a graduation, diving into a new class, shopping local, or splashing into summer fun, there's no better time to enjoy all that Aliso Viejo has to offer. Here's to a season full of sunshine, smiles, and community spirit! I'm looking forward to seeing you out there.
