On May 16, Consul General Qin Jie visited HSK Test Center in Mumbai and interacted with Indian Chinese learners.
Mr. Qin stated that Chinese is the language with the largest number of native speakers in the world and is also one of the six official languages of the United Nations. China's commitment to high-quality development and innovation-driven growth has injected new momentum into the global economic recovery, while also creating new opportunities for young foreign learners of Chinese. He encouraged the students to keep motivation, passion and devotion for learning Chinese, so as to "experience being Chinese," appreciate the beauty of Chinese culture, and promote closer people-to-people ties between China and India. He wished them great success and continued progress in their Chinese learning journey.
Around 60 students and their parents participated in the event. The students expressed their determination to study Chinese well, become good messengers for people-to-people exchange, and contribute to the cause of friendship between the two countries.
