New Chair of the Western Australian Meat Industry Authority Board

Agriculture and Food Minister Jackie Jarvis has announced the appointment of Louise Holding as Chair of the Western Australian Meat Industry Authority (WAMIA) Board.

Ms Holding brings more than 20 years of experience in strategic leadership, governance, stakeholder engagement, and public policy, having worked across corporate, government, philanthropic, and not-for-profit sectors.

Her extensive career has included senior leadership roles with the Minderoo Foundation, Harvest Road Group, WA Health, the Disability Services Commission, and as Chief of Staff to the Environment Minister.

WAMIA plays a critical role in supporting Western Australia's red meat supply chain through the operation of the Muchea Livestock Centre and the provision of regulatory assurance services for export abattoirs and meat processors.

As Chair, Ms Holding will lead the Board in overseeing the Authority's strategic direction and supporting the continued delivery of efficient, transparent, and sustainable services to industry and the community.
