Support the Youth in Your Life with CaringU!

Caring University (CaringU) is a free learning institute designed to foster positive community connections and youth development. Its goal is simple: help caring adults build stronger connections with youth by providing practical tools, useful knowledge, and a shared commitment to their growth and success.

Who can join?
Any caring adult in Alexandria, including parents, guardians, teachers, coaches, recreation staff, mentors, and anyone who wants to make a positive impact on a young person's life.

What you'll find:

  • Free, multilingual courses offered in three formats: in-person, live virtual (Zoom), and on-demand virtual (self-paced).
  • Topics such as building trust, practicing cultural humility, and preventing substance misuse all focus on real-world strategies you can apply right away.
  • Easy access through an online portal, along with options to join live sessions.
  • New courses are added every month!
  • Youth-focused social-emotional learning courses coming in 2027, designed to build skills in managing emotions, developing healthy relationships, and supporting success in school and everyday life.
