HRT Services to End Early on Monday, Dec. 8

NORFOLK, Va. - Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) services will end early on Dec. 8 due to wintry weather.

  • Bus service: All bus routes will end earlier than normal. A list of last trips can be found here: gohrt.com/alert/61162/.
  • Tide Light Rail: The last westbound train departs Newtown Road Station at 7:20 p.m.and arrives at EVMC/Fort Norfolk Station at 7:44 p.m.The last eastbound train departs EVMC/Fort Norfolk at 7:26 p.m.and arrives at Newtown Road at 7:50 p.m.
  • Elizabeth River Ferry: The last ferry trip will depart Waterside Ferry Dock at 7:45 p.m.
  • Paratransit: No rides will be provided past 8 p.m.
  • OnDemand Ridesharing: No rides will be accepted past 8 p.m.
  • Base Express: Will operate according to its regular schedule.

The Customer Call Center and all transit centers will operate with their regular schedules.

Service for Dec. 9is subject to change based on the storm's impact. Customers should expect delays. The Hampton and Newport News Transit Centers will open at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 9.
