(March 4, 2026) LEBANON BOROUGH, NJ - Today, Congressman Tom Kean, Jr. (NJ-07) announced that his office is accepting submissions for the 2026 Congressional Art Competition. The competition, sponsored by the Congressional Institute, is the U.S. House of Representatives' official art competition and is open to all high school students residing in New Jersey's Seventh Congressional District. This June, the winning student will be invited to Washington, D.C. for a celebration recognizing their artistic achievement.
In conjunction with the nationwide celebration of America's 250th Anniversary, the Congressional Institute has established the theme "Celebrating America's 250 Years" for this year's competition. Congressman Kean invites students to create artwork that commemorates this milestone in a positive and inspiring way and highlights America's rich history, beauty, and culture.
"I am incredibly impressed with the creativity and talent of the students across our district," said Congressman Kean. "Art has always been a powerful medium to celebrate what makes our nation great, and I look forward to seeing how this year's student artists bring America's 250th Anniversary to life through their work."
The submission deadline is April 1, 2026 at 5:00 PM. For official guidelines and submission details, please visit Congressman Kean's website HERE.
