Scam Alert: False Text Messages Regarding York City Parking Payments

A false text message has been sent to individuals saying they owe York City for a parking violation. Specifically, the text message reads: "Your vehicle has an unpaid parking invoice in Pennsylvania. To avoid a late fee of 35$, please settle your account promptly. Total amount due 4.15$. To view your invoice and make a payment, type the private link in your browser…"

Please know that this is a scam. Everyone is urged to delete the text message without clicking on the link. The York City Parking Bureau does not send text messages. Any parking violations would be sent by mail to the individual.
