Richardson is one of many cities participating in the North Texas Food Bank's annual Peanut Butter Drive. The drive is being held throughout September, with the goal of collecting peanut butter, both physically and online through monetary donations, to help feed North Texans facing hunger. Donations can be made online or at the following locations:

Sept. 9

In beTWEEN Book Club

Tweens read the best of the best books from award lists curated by the Texas and American Library Associations and other key lists. Readers select a book each month and join the roundtable discussion. Reading is also explored through book trailers, book blurbs and first chapters. This Richardson Public Library-sponsored program is for kids ages 9-12.

Southwestern Watercolor Society 63rd Annual Juried Member Exhibition

Watercolor and water media paintings juried into the 63rd Annual Southwestern Watercolor Society Membership Exhibition are on exhibit at the SP/N Gallery. The watercolor exhibition of 78 paintings feature all types of water media paintings on paper from abstract to realistic. Most of the paintings are for sale.

Sept. 10

Join the John Bunker Sands Wetland Center for a twilight exploration to meet the wetland's scaly and slimy residents. With flashlights in hands, participants will search for frogs, toads, turtles and snakes. Learn how these cold-blooded creatures thrive once the heat of the day fades. This event is for anyone 12 years and older.

Sept. 11
