Winter Weather: Impacts to City Services

Impacts to City Services and Operations

Solid Waste Services

  • There will be no service to the Central Business District on Sunday, Feb. 1.
  • Some streets did not get serviced last week due to icy roads. Please bring bins in from the curb.
  • There is no residential pick up on Mondays. An update for residential services will be posted on Monday, Feb. 2.

Transportation

GoRaleigh
Update Feb. 1, at 10:30 a.m.: GoRaleigh and GoRaleigh Access services are canceled for today, Sunday, Feb. 1.

Downtown Parking
Raleigh Parking is asking residents who normally park on Downtown streets to temporarily move their vehicles into select City parking garages.Doing so helps our Transportation crews clear snow and treat roads more quickly, safely, and effectively. Learn more about free parking deck access this weekend for Downtown parkers.

Raleigh Parks

Update Feb. 1: Raleigh Parks facilities are closed Sunday, Feb. 1, and all programs are canceled.

City of Raleigh Offices

City of Raleigh offices will open at noon on Monday, Feb. 2.

Planning and Development

  • The Customer Service Center on the 4th floor of One Exchange Plaza will provide online service on Monday morning, Feb. 2, and in-person services will resume at noon.
  • All inspections scheduled for Monday, Feb. 2 will start at noon. Your inspector will contact you if your scheduled inspection is impacted by the delay.
