A Crime Stoppers' tip led to the arrest of a suspect in a fatal hit-and-run in Greensboro earlier this year.
Javier Fransisco Solis, 28, of High Point, was recently charged with felony hit and run resulting in death.
The victim's family was notified of the arrest.
Solis posted a $35,000 secured bond.

Greensboro Police Investigate Fatal Hit-and-Run
GREENSBORO, NC (January 17, 2026) - Greensboro Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run involving a pedestrian.
At approximately 7:33 a.m. today, Greensboro Police, Greensboro Fire, and Guilford County EMS responded to the area of NC 68 near Gallimore Dairy Road after callers reported seeing a person lying near the road. The person was pronounced dead at the scene; The individual's identity is being temporarily withheld pending notification of next of kin.
A preliminary investigation indicates that a vehicle was traveling north on NC 68 at approximately 8:35 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16, when it struck this pedestrian. The vehicle did not remain on scene.
The involved vehicle is possibly a white Infiniti Q50.
The Greensboro Police Department's Crash Reconstruction Unit is handling the investigation.
