Fire Incident at Teijin Aramid’s Delfzijl Site – Situation Under Control[Teijin Aramid]

On August 6, 2025, at approximately 2:00pm, a fire was reported in a building of our Delfzijl production site.

Thanks to the rapid and coordinated efforts of regional fire brigades and site emergency teams, the fire was brought under control around 4:00pm. No injuries occurred, and the safety of personnel and the surrounding community was maintained throughout the incident. Air quality monitoring stations were installed by the safety authorities to ensure no harmful emissions affected the surrounding area. The site was temporarily closed off as a precautionary measure.

As a result of the incident, the Delfzijl factory is currently not operational. However, our spinning facility in Emmen continues to run as usual. Initial inspections indicate that the damage is limited to a smaller section of the factory. Full focus is given to a safe restart of the factory.

We will investigate the root cause further and will continue to cooperate closely with local authorities to ensure transparency and safety.
