The Greensboro Parks and Recreation Department will host a number of events throughout the month of March starting on Wednesday, March 4, with the Kids and Canvas art class.
The following are highlights of the upcoming month's offerings:
Kids and Canvas
Wednesdays, March 4, 11, 18, and 25 | Lewis Recreation Center, 3110 Forest Lawn Dr. | 7:15-8:15 pm | Cost: $25 per child

Fresh + Foodie: Salsa
Monday, March 9 | Deep Roots Market, 600 N. Eugene St. | 6-7 pm | Free

Pancakes & Careers
Thursday, March 12 | Peeler Recreation Center, 1300 Sykes Ave. | 10:30 am to noon | Free
This program - aged 18-and-up - provides information on employment opportunities and furthering one's education from staff at local colleges and trade schools, all while enjoying pancakes.
Battle of Guilford Courthouse Reenactment
Saturday, March 14, and Sunday, March 15 | Country Park, 3905 Nathanael Greene Dr. | 10 am to 5 pm | Free
Country Park hosts the Reenactment of the Battle of Guilford Courthouse, a Revolutionary War battle. The Guilford Courthouse National Military Park will also hold demonstrations and educational talks throughout the weekend. For more information, visit the National Park Service's website.
Downtown Greenway Walking Tours
Saturday, March 14 | LoFi Park, 500 N. Eugene St. | 9 am to noon | Free

Sustainable Food Gardening Series
Saturday, March 14 | Keeley Park Community Garden, 4100 Keeley Rd., Mcleansville | 10 am to noon | Free

Welcome Home Birdie: Birdhouse Workshop

Join the Greensboro Parks and Recreation Department, alongside Forge Greensboro, to build your very own birdhouse.
Adult Game Night
Friday, March 27 | Simkins Indoor Sports Pavilion, 1500 Barber Park Dr. | 6-9 pm | Free
This event for adults 21-and-up at Simkins Indoor Sports Pavilion will feature card games, board games, pickleball, volleyball, and karaoke.
