Holding of the 5th Meeting of the India-Tajikistan Joint Working Group

On 24 June 2026, the Fifth Meeting of the Tajikistan-India Joint Working Group on Counter-Terrorism was held in Dushanbe.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to expanding bilateral cooperation in combating international terrorism, organized crime, and illicit drug trafficking, as well as exchanging experience in these areas, enhancing the capacity of law enforcement agencies, and strengthening cooperation within the framework of the United Nations and regional organizations.

The Tajikistan-India Joint Working Group on Counter-Terrorism operates pursuant to the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the Republic of India on the establishment of the Tajikistan-India Joint Working Group on Counter-Terrorism, signed in Dushanbe on 30 January 2003.
