Cleco restores power to 96 percent of customers following Winter Storm

Cleco has restored power to 96 percent of the customers who lost power following Winter Storm Fern.

"Our crews made a tremendous amount of progress overnight," said Clint Robichaux, director of distribution operations and reliability. "All customers, with the exception of roughly 650 customers in DeSoto Parish, have been restored."

Power is expected to be restored in the following areas of DeSoto Parish today, Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026.

  • Gloster
  • Grand Cane
  • Keatchie
  • Mansfield

"We've uncovered a lot of broken poles, downed wire and broken crossarms in some of the harder-to-reach areas of DeSoto Parish which is making restoration challenging for Stanley and the Toledo Bend area," said Robichaux. "Crews are working to restore power to a portion of these customers, but outages could be prolonged. This is our best assessment at this point in the day, but it's still early. We'll know more as the day progresses."
