Murrieta, CA- On Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at approximately 10:23 a.m., Murrieta Police officers were dispatched to a medical office building in the 25400 block of Medical Center Drive following a reported bomb threat. The facility, located next to Rancho Springs Medical Center, contains ten medical suites.
The report originated from a telecommunications security provider responsible for monitoring multiple medical office buildings in Riverside County. The provider advised that a caller stated there was a bomb at the location. Because the threat was non-specific, notifications were made to all eleven medical office locations under their responsibility. Several other Riverside County law enforcement agencies confirmed that precautionary evacuations were also conducted at facilities within their jurisdictions.
Murrieta Police Department and Murrieta Fire and Rescue personnel immediately established a command post. As a precaution, the building was fully evacuated. Officers and fire personnel thoroughly searched the premises, including the interior, exterior, parking areas, and rooftop. No suspicious devices or items were found, and the threat was determined to be unfounded. No arrests have been made.
The Murrieta Police Department emphasizes that making false emergency reports is dangerous and illegal. Such actions divert critical public safety resources, cause unnecessary fear, and significantly disrupt essential operations. These impacts are especially serious at medical facilities, where interruptions can directly affect patient care.
The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Murrieta Police Department Communication Center at (951) 696-3615.
