On August 26, H.E. Mr. Shen Bo, Chinese Ambassador to the Netherlands Shen Bo met with Mr. Karremans, Minister of Infrastructure and Water Management of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The two sides exchanged views on bilateral cooperation in water resources, the environment, and transportation, as well as other issues of common concern.
Ambassador Shen stated that China-Netherlands cooperation in water resources is pragmatic, deep-rooted, and fruitful. China stands ready to work with the dutch side to further broaden and deepen bilateral water cooperation, strengthen mutual support and coordination in international water governance processes and major international water affairs events, and deepen practical cooperation in fields such as climate change, environmental protection, and transportation infrastructure.
Minister Karremans spoke highly of China's achievements in water governance and other areas, emphasizing that the Netherlands attaches great importance to water cooperation with China. He expressed the Dutch side's wish to further strengthen communication and exchanges with China and to deepen cooperation in climate change, environmental protection, and related fields.
Mr. Wang Chun, Counselor of the Embassy, among others, attended the meeting.
