John Delmotte Receives NCGA Advocate of the Year Award

Each July, the National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) celebrates top grower advocates by presenting the Advocate of the Year Award. Michigan Corn Growers Association President John Delmotte was one of four growers honored with this year's award.

"We all know the climate in Washington is competitive," said NCGA President Jed Bower. "Getting anything done here can be close to impossible. But despite this reality and opposition, NCGA has achieved remarkable, uncommon legislative wins in the past year - and these wins were only made possible because of strong, effective corn grower leaders and advocates."

Many incredible advocates stepped up to the plate as we fought for high-value market opportunities, the freedom to operate, comprehensive risk management tools, and fair tax policies. The individuals receiving this award all contribute to the CornPAC, have a high activation rate on grassroots campaigns, have completed NCGA leadership and advocacy training, and are frontrunners in advocacy in Washington D.C. and in their home states.

In addition to Delmotte, the following leaders also received the award: Joe Roberts of Iowa, Kylee Geffert of Kansas, and Josh Lancaster of Kentucky.
