Marquette Institute for Women’s Leadership announces keynote panel for fifth IWL Gala, April 14

The Institute for Women's Leadership at Marquette University will host a panel discussion to celebrate women leading community-level change as part of the fifth annual IWL Gala on Tuesday, April 14, at 5 p.m. in the Alumni Memorial Union, 1442 W. Wisconsin Ave.

This year's theme is Women in Athletics: Representation, Leadership and Action.

Jasmine M. Johnson

Jasmine M. Johnson, vice president of marketing and communication of United Way of the National Capital Area, will moderate the keynote discussion that will feature Cara Consuegra, Marquette women's head basketball coach; Kareeda Chones Aguam, senior vice president of senior partner strategy and management for the Milwaukee Bucks; and Val Ackerman, commissioner of the Big East Conference.

The annual IWL Gala celebrates women who engage, inspire and transform the Marquette and Milwaukee communities. The event serves as an empowering evening, embracing leadership and authenticity while gathering with community members from across campus and beyond.

In addition to the panel discussion, the IWL will honor its Transformational Leadership award recipients, recognizing a community leader, campus leader and Marquette student for their community leadership.
