CTIA Statement on Introduction of the SECURE Data Act

"CTIA welcomes the introduction of the SECURE Data Act, comprehensive data privacy legislation that would establish a single, clear national standard, and we thank Chairman Guthrie, Vice Chairman Joyce, and the Data Privacy Working Group for their leadership on this issue. Ending the current patchwork of state laws is long overdue, for consumers and industry alike. A consistent nationwide framework would strengthen consumer trust, empower individuals to control their personal information, and give American businesses the certainty needed to invest, innovate, and compete globally."
