TAB's annual broadcast newsroom event brings together nationally known newsroom trainers and Texas broadcast news professionals to present techniques and ideas for better news coverage for those working in TV and radio newsrooms and those who want to do so as a career!

Early-bird professional registration is $51 and includes lunch, morning coffee, and pastries. The fee increases $10 on October 8. Registration closes October 14 at Noon. There will be no onsite registration.

Sessions for Aspiring Broadcasters Too
University and college students and educators may attend the workshop at the early bird rate of $36. The seminar will feature two specific sessions for them. One panel will explore what recent Texas State University graduates did to get their first and second jobs in a Texas broadcast newsroom and what transitions they've had to make in the journey from classroom to newsroom.

In the closing session of the day, local broadcast radio and TV news managers offer their insightful advice on the don'ts AND the do's in seeking that first job in broadcast news.
