Beckwood Press expands in Fenton, creating a minimum of 10 new jobs

Beckwood Press, an engineering firm, technology company, and premier builder of hydraulic and servo-electric presses, announced today that it has expanded in Fenton, creating a minimum of 10 new jobs while expecting to double that amount. The company's expansion includes the addition of 36,000 square feet to its Fenton headquarters facility, including 8,000 square feet of office space and 28,000 square feet of warehouse and manufacturing space.

"We congratulate Beckwood Press on its continued growth in Fenton," said Governor Mike Kehoe. "There's nothing better than seeing Missouri-made employers thriving and investing in their communities. Given the importance of manufacturing to our economy, we also appreciate this company's commitment to preparing tomorrow's workforce."

A significant portion of Beckwood's new office space will support the continued development of its Service Department, established at the end of 2024 and led by Director of Service, Richard Arthur. Since its inception, the department has enhanced Beckwood's ability to provide preventative maintenance, onsite support, aftermarket services, retrofits, spare parts, and long-term equipment lifecycle solutions. Beckwood's expanded facility will grow this team, streamline service operations, and improve response times. The company's total operational footprint now spans 92,000 square feet.

"This expansion marks an exciting milestone for Beckwood Press," said Josh Dixon, President of Beckwood Press. "The added space allows us to serve customers with greater efficiency and flexibility while providing room to grow key departments that directly support our vision."

Beckwood's expansion will also support the company's ongoing commitment to workforce development within Missouri, exemplified by its new partnership with Career WayZ for an employer-driven Youth Apprenticeship Accelerator program. This initiative bridges education and industry by preparing high school students for careers in manufacturing through hands-on training, mentoring, and service operations.

"Beckwood Press' expansion is a perfect example of DED's mission in action: helping Missourians prosper by supporting businesses and strengthening communities," said Michelle Hataway, Director of the Department of Economic Development. "We're proud to support this company as it expands in Fenton and establishes partnerships that facilitate future growth in the St. Louis region."

For this expansion, Beckwood Press will benefit from the Missouri Works program, a tool that helps companies expand and retain workers by providing access to capital through withholdings or tax credits for job creation.
